"The Victorian Kitchen Garden"
 

The BBC's television series, The Victorian Kitchen Garden, mesmerizes viewers as it recreates a traditional kitchen garden behind the high redbrick walls of Chilton Foliat in Berkshire. The series, first broadcast in 1987, features horticultural lecturer Peter Thoday and master gardener Harry Dodson.

Here you can watch the first ten minutes of every episode, there are 13 videos to explore. Learn about Victorian tools and techniques and 19th century varieties of flowers, fruit and vegetables.
